ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat)
ENT diseases follow each of us since our childhood. Inflammatory diseases of oropharyngeal surface are common among aural pathologies and upper respiratory diseases. A reason for this is a constant contact of ENT organs with environment and existence of sufficiently conditional-dangerous microorganisms in mucous membranes of those organs threatening and leading to development of a disease even during slight disturbances. Pollution of environmental ecology and population density in megalopolises offer fertile conditions for generation and spreading of ENT diseases.
ENT diseases may be not only inflammatory, but also genetic, traumatic and inflectional. Irrespective of reasons leading to generation of diseases, symptoms of ear-nose-throat diseases usually are similar:
Complication of nasal breathing;
Sore throat ;
Excreta from nose or ear;
Enlargement of sub-mental lymph nodes
Complication of olfactory sensation;
The following up-to-date examinations of ENT organs are made through large diagnostic capabilities of our clinics:
Endoscopic examination by fiber-optic flection
Tuning-fork examination of hearing
Examination of vestibular apparatus
Up-to-date radiology examinations conducted in our clinics – USM, KT, MRT facilitate present-day diagnostics of ENT diseases very much.
Endoscopic equipment – Charles Store
Endoscopic equipment allows conducting endoscopy of nose and perithinal sinus:
for identification of reasons for complicated nasal breathing
for detection of a foreign body
for diagnostic analysis of maxillary sinusitis and other sinusitis
In most cases, an endoscopic investigation leaves no necessity to undergo X-ray photography. In some cases when it is impossible to make an endoscopy (curved nasal septum, polyps in nasal cavity, risks of development of nosebleed), X-ray photography is still necessary, and to this end, in our clinics there is used a portable installation of computer tomography.
During assistance of endoscopic equipment, it is possible to:
visualize a lesion focus
diagnose neoplasm of larynx
detect (and then kill) foreign bodies or diagnose their absence in case of a patient’s nasopharyngeal discomfort
diagnose adenoid growth and degree of their growth
The endoscope in the ENT-cabinet of HAYAT Clinic has been fitted with both a firm and elastic head which allows conducting deep investigation of patients’ nasopharynx with no unpleasant feelings. The endoscope has been fitted with a screen: for a doctor and a patient.
